Tangle was a mobian lemur.

Biography

During her childhood, Tangle was close friends with Jewel the Beetle. The two grew up together in Spiral Hill Village.

In September 2005, a month after the end of the First Eggman War, Spiral Hill Village got attacked by a mysterious foe (secretly in alliance with Eggman, but Eggman was presumed dead at this point by most). Tangle was among the ones protecting the village. She met Sonic and Blaze, who were on a world tour, and helped Tangle defeat the enemy. She became close to the two and joined the two in their journey around the world.

During her journey, Tangle met a wolf, Whisper, who had previously been a secret ally of the Resistance. While not trusting each other at first, Tangle and Whisper soon got along well. Tangle and Whisper eventually joined the Restoration, a group founded by Amy and Tails to restore places following the Eggman War.

Behind the Scenes

As Tangle is a new character with not much known about her, her role in Star's universe is not entirely certain yet, but is slowly being established while the IDW series continues.
The original version of Star's universe included just Sonic and Blaze going on a world adventure as a couple. As Tangle's first appearance is set to be alongside Sonic and Blaze, Star got the idea of having the three as an adventuring trio exploring places all around the world.
- However, after Whisper's introduction, a new idea formed to have Tangle meet Whisper during the journey, and leaving Sonic and Blaze.

Notes

She was 15 years old when the Eggman War ended. Also, according to Star's universe, she's (chronologically) younger than Sonic. This sets her time of birth between April 4, 1990, (Sonic's date of birth) and August 20, 1990 (15 years before the Eggman War ends).
