- 2005: Shadow Star continued working for Black Doom and gave him access to the Eclipse Cannon, which he used to destroy Central City (though the city was already evacuated by then). However, Shadow soon started to realize that he was manipulated by Black Doom and that causing so much destruction was not what he believed to be right, so he betrayed Black Doom and joined forces with Sonic Needlemouse. Shadow managed to find the fifth Chaos Emerald on board the ARK.
