Jani-Petteri Korhonen was a Finnish human (later vampire) who was best known for his participation in the Finnish TV show Putous in 2012. He was eventually turned into a vampire in the summer of 2020 by Erika after he was severely injured in a ship accident. He then joined the Finnish Coven and fell in love with fellow Finnish vampire Moona Viljanen.
Biography[]
Jani-Petteri was born in Dragsfjärd, Finland, in the spring or summer of 2005. From a young age, he had to go to psychotherapy. He did not have friends, and especially disliked Tero, a kid who was his neighbor. He had a crush on Vanessa, a girl who was one year younger than him.
JP apparently had some sort of knowledge of what had happened in the Darkside Universe over 10,000 years earlier, as he owned a replica of a Sith lightsaber, which he carried with him everywhere.
At the age of 6, in early 2012, Jani-Petteri participated at the TV competition Putous, where he placed third. This gave him some fame in Finland, and he later released a few songs, including one about Finland winning the ice hockey championship (which did not happen and would not happen again until 2019). Over the years, however, JP started to become less and less famous.
In August 2020, not long before he was meant to start ninth grade, JP went on a ship for an unknown reason. This ship was, not surprisingly, fairly empty, with possibly more staff members than passengers on board. On this ship, JP met Moona Viljanen, who, unbeknownst to him, was a vampire. The two had a short conversation and talked about their interests. However, their conversation did not last long, as the ship ended up crashing, and JP was badly injured in this. Fearing there was no other way to save him, Moona brought the boy to Erika, who then bit him and turned him into a vampire.
After JP had suffered for a few days and the transformation was complete, Erika explained the situation to him. JP then joined the Finnish Coven, and fell in love with Moona, who had also been turned into a vampire at the age of 15

- In Season 3 of Putous, he is consistently 6, and the fact that he goes to preschool (the final year before school in Finland) implies he turns seven later that year, putting his year of birth as 2005. According to Star's universe, he was already 15 when he was turned into a vampire in August 2020.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Jani-Petteri originates from the Finnish TV show Putous, where he was a sketch comedy character by Iina Kuustonen in Season 3 (2012).
- He was the only human character in Season 3 who was not given a surname. However, it was revealed more than eight and a half years later in episode 1 of Putous Allstars. In it, his surname is mistakenly assumed to be Petteri, which JP first corrects to Skywalker, but he says it is a joke and it is actually Virtanen, but then he says it is a joke again and the actual surname is Korhonen. Virtanen and Korhonen are both known for being among the most common surnames in Finland.
- His existence and the connection to the show implies that Putous still exists as a TV show in Star's universe, but has some major differences compared to real life.
- The story idea involving Jani-Petteri meeting MovieStar on a ship in the year 2020 was also originally planned in 2012. This came from the fact that on MovieStarPlanet, Star's character MovieStar MSP dated a character representing Jani-Petteri.
